A PACK A MONTH (APAM) is a registered CBO that aims at providing at least one pack of sanitary towels to needy girls as well as providing them with life-skills mentorship.
What We Do

Our Mission

Towards creating an informed society that promotes, protects and amplifies Human Rights and Sexual Reproductive Health Rights (SRHR) of Adolescent Girls and Young Women (AGYW) through provision and distribution of Menstrual Health products, capacity building community dialogue and advocacy.

Our Vision

To eradicate transactional sex among GYW through the provision of menstrual health products and ensure a community free of Sexual Gender Based Violence with voices of Adolescent Girls and Young Women amplified.
Our Main ObjectivesGoals

Helping the girls have a smooth sailing in school during what they term as ``The most difficult time``, by providing sanitary pads.

Our role at A PACK A MONTH is not only to meet the immediate sanitary pads needs but also to equip these girls & young women with life-skills & mentorship hence reducing and eventually eradicating transactional sex.

APAM also seeks to avail empowerment opportunities through forums like educating the girls on menstrual health and sexuality, run anti-FGM campaigns, rescue GBV victims, carry out career development & mentorship programs; sports empowerment, workshops and exposure trips.

Where We Operate

We have for the past 4 years been operating within Kajiado County; covering Kajiado North, Kajiadio West, Kajiado Central, Kajiado South and Oloillilai Sub Counties. We have up to 800 girls and young women who are direct beneficiaries. 39,400 reached with MHM products since inception. 708 Households fed during COVID-19 Pandemic.

Combined with the limited availability and access to MHM Products, many adolescent girls engage in (unprotected) transactional sex to get money for MHM products to remain in school.
